چکیده

The problems caused by synthetic plastics have motivated the use of other materials. This research consisted taking advantage banana peel and cellulose from pseudostem this plant to obtain a bioplastic. Dry milling was applied extract flour an acid-alkaline treatment for cellulose. elaboration thermoplastic material did with mixture design where fixed amounts shell (5 g), 15% NaOH mL), water (4 varying concentrations plasticizers, which were glycerol sorbitol. In two formulations, added as filler 0,5 g bioplastic obtained characterized according its thickness, vapor permeability (WVP), tension force (TF), break time (bt), biodegradability. type plasticizer content not affect thickness bioplastic, but it WVP, TF, bt. WVP decreases when glycerin is used increases addition best result 1,83 x 10-9 g/Pa.s.m in formulation only glycerol, while values bt, biodegradability 2,4 MPa, 17 seconds, 37,77%, respectively, 75% sorbitol 25% glycerol. Expanding study formulations would allow their replacement plastics.

Nano-cellulose derived bioplastic biomaterial data for vehicle bio-bumper from banana peel waste biomass

The innovative study was carried out to produce nano-cellulose based bioplastic biomaterials for vehicle use coming after bioprocess technology. The data show that nano-cellulose particle size was 20 nm and negligible water absorption was 0.03% in the bioplastic. Moreover, burning test, size and shape characterizations, spray coating dye, energy test and firmness of bioplastic have been explore...

PRODUCTION OF a-Amylase FROM BANANA PEEL BY Bacillus subtilis

We produced a-amylase from banana peel by Bacillus subtilis through solid state fermentation (SSF). Addition of yeast extract, corn steep liquor, sodium dodesyl sulphate (SDS) and Tween-80 enhanced the a-amylase production under preoptimized fermentation conditions. Maximum enzyme yield (10.25 U/mL) was observed at 35°C after 24 hours of SSF in growth medium containing 0.1% yeast extract, 1% co...

Removal of Basic Blue 159 from Aqueous Solution Using Banana Peel as a Low-Cost Adsorbent

In this paper, the adsorption of Basic Blue159 (BB159) onto banana peel as a low-cost material was studied. At first, the banana peel was sieved. Later, banana peel particles were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out as a fu...

Study of Banana Peel (Musa sapientum) as a Cationic Biosorbent

The efficacy of the Banana peel (Musa sapientum) biomass was tested for the removal of lead, copper, zinc and nickel metal ions using batch experiments in single and binary metal solution under controlled experimental conditions. It is found that metal sorption increases when the equilibrium metal concentration rises. At highest experimental solution concentration used (150 mg/L), the removal o...
